Letters: Take your governor back — please!

Your governor, Bobby Jindal, has traveled from town to town across Iowa crusading against gay marriage. Many suspect he’s already campaigning for the 2016 Iowa Presidential Caucuses.

We Iowans were recently subjected to an endless parade of Republican candidates during the 2012 Presidential Caucuses. We really don’t need Gov. Jindal’s wisdom and advice for the next four years.

Please call back your governor and find something for him to do. Aren’t there any homosexuals to persecute in Louisiana?

Dave Gregory

retired hotel clerk

Marion, Iowa

I didn't vote for him. I wonder how the folks that voted for him feels after Jindal screwed them.

Please Mr. Gregory, keep him. If you'd like, the few people here in Louisiana who don't hate homosexuals, women and blacks will send regular donations for Piyush's care and feeding. Give him a uniform and a title ... just make something up. He'll never leave.

Pardon me, @Dave, but isn't Jindal the lackey of Mills? Nobody gets elected here without Mills OK.

@Dave: There are a few still left but most of them skipped town long ago. Don't worry, the governor's lackey, Gene Mills, is on the case!

To all Iowans, Gov. Jindal is only interested in his own political advancement. He has destroyed all that has been good in Louisiana. His intrusion on telling you how to think is a slap in your face. He has unfortunately been passing around his own kool-aide with ingredients added by the right-wing conservatives. Don't drink it! We don't want him or any more of his kool-aide, but I don't want it to be handed out anywhere else. I have confidence that Iowans are smarter than that. Could he get lost in a corn maze?

Would that there was some way of preventing him from reentering Louisiana once he leaves it!

Please, Iowans, take Bobby and give him some useless, paper pushing, back office state job that he can't do any harm in. We really would like to get rid of him as quickly as possible, but our legislature is infested with teapartiers who breathe when he says 'inhale" and would suffocate if he forgot to tell them. Yall have your gay marriage amendment, so it is pretty safe. He has already destroyed our schools, our medical care system, and is trying desperately to increase poverty and unemployment by firing all the state employees (except, of course in the Executive Branch, where he pays one guy double by giving him two job titles). Gay rights are a problem, but secondary to the others since he simply does what his gods at the Louisiana Famiy Forum, a homophobic hate group that calls itself religious but is really based in hating your neighbor, tells him to do. Oh, he hates to be called by his birth name---Pyush. Please pass that on to the media. Plus, you need to get your birthers ready. His parents are immigrants from India. Louisianans will vote for anyone who has an R next their name and pretends to be pro- life so we have not been able to get rid of him. But maybe you all could entice him away with a fancy title. Please, please, take our governor!!!! Help save America from Pyush Jindal.

Sorry, Mr. Gregory. I hate that Jindal is a bigot as well. If it makes you feel any better, we're not all intolerant down here....just most of us.

I'm so heartened to know that the salary we pay our guv goes to fighting against homosexual interests in Iowa. Sheesh. Someone wake me when it's over and the nutballs are all dead. Like Jindal gives a (insert favorite noun here) whether homosexual Iowans get to marry. Jindal only gives a (noun) about keeping his name and greasy grin out there on the front lines of Republican nutballism for national aspirations' sake. I'm truly sorry, Dave Gregory.

We'd rather you kept him there. Can't you arrest him on some kind of charge? We'll pay you.
