Our Views: LSU’s track legend grows

LSU Coach Dennis Shaver wins another award for the legendary LSU program in track and field: He is, for the second time, NCAA Division I outdoor national coach of the year.

The award was presented by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and comes after the Lady Tigers won LSU’s 32nd track and field national championship. Shaver has been sprints and hurdles coach at LSU for eight years.

Congratulations to Shaver and to the Lady Tigers for their accomplishments.
