ULL alum favors UL or Louisiana
You published a letter on Dec. 8 regarding what the University of Louisiana at Lafayette should or should not be “called.” I would like to respond.
I am a proud, loyal UL alumnus and supporter. I and my fellow UL supporters chose our university’s brand names, i.e. “UL” and “Louisiana.” No one else was involved.
We refer to our university as “UL” and “Louisiana” and we shall continue to do so. If that upsets others, then so be it. Perhaps, their time and energies should be focused on matters of true importance.
