Hollygrove home’s caretakers attacked
New Orleans police are searching for a man they say shot at and attacked people who were checking on the home of a friend who was on vacation.
About 10 p.m. Saturday, the victims were in front of the home in the 8100 block of Apple Street in Hollygrove when a neighbor, identified as Bourgess Lindsey, 21, walked up and asked what they were doing.
The victims said they were there to check on their friend’s home and went inside, police said.
When they walked out they were met by Linsdey, who had a rifle and handgun, began to yell and fired three rounds into the ground, police said.
Lindsey then hit one of the victims and ran back into his house before he ran away, police said.
A warrant has been issued for Lindsey’s arrest for aggravated assault, second-degree battery and illegal discharge of a firearm.
Anyone with information about Lindsey’s whereabouts is asked to contact 2nd District detectives at (504) 658-6020 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
Mother, son sought for damage, assault
A mother and her son are wanted for allegedly destroying a boy’s cellphone, then pointing a gun at his father, police said.
The victim was picking up his son Friday afternoon in the 4900 block of Clara Street, when he got into an argument with Dililah Pollard, 41, police said.
The victim asked Pollard for his son’s cellphone, at which point Pollard threw the phone on the ground, stepped on it and broke the screen.
As the victim was leaving, Demounde Pollard, Dililah Pollard’s son, walked out from behind a car and pointed a gun at the man, police said.
The victim and his son got into his car and drove away.
He later identified the man who pointed the gun at him as Demounde Pollard.
