Police seek man
in Sunday shooting
New Orleans police are looking for an 18-year-old man accused in a Saturday night shooting in the 3900 block of Sullen Place in Algiers.
Taray Butler, unknown address, is accused of shooting an unidentified 51-year-old woman, police said in a news release issued Sunday.
Officers found the woman around 7:20 p.m. Saturday with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her body, the release says.
She was taken to a hospital where she remained in stable condition as of Sunday afternoon, the release says.
Butler has been identified as one of three people who shot at the woman from a green, older model Pontiac Bonneville, the release says.
Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Butler on aggravated battery by shooting, the release says.

Marrero shooting leaves man injured
Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating a nonfatal shooting Sunday morning in Marrero, the Sheriff’s Office said.
A man suffered a single gunshot wound to the leg at 1620 Haydel Drive in Marrero, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release. The wound is not expected to be life threatening.
No other information was available.
