METAIRIE — Former Florida Congressman Dan Miller will speak on “The Future of the Republican Party” Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Weinmann Auditorium, Metairie Park Country Day School, 300 Park Road, Metairie.
A Republican, Miller was elected to the U. S. House of Representatives in 1992, representing the 13th Congressional District of Florida.
During his 10 years in the House, Miller served on the House Appropriations Committee and the Budget Committee. He served as chairman of the census subcommittee with oversight of the U.S. Census Bureau during the controversial and successful 2000 census.
Miller is now a professor at the University of South Florida.
