Krewe of Tucks founded by Loyola students

The Krewe of Tucks was started by two Loyola students in 1969. In the intervening years, the parade has gone from a rag-tag band of beat up pick-up trucks pulling boats to a New Orleans Carnival institution.

This year, Loyola University debuted its first-ever float during the Tucks parade Feb. 9, celebrating the university’s 100th birthday. Numerous alumni rode the float to celebrate the tradition and the anniversary.
