Parenting expert to discuss ‘smart discipline at St. Paul’s

HARAHAN — The nationally acclaimed Smart Discipline for Parents Seminar will be presented from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall, 6500 Jefferson Highway in Harahan.

The two-hour seminar, aimed at parents of children 4-16, is based on the best-selling book, “Smart Discipline,” (HarperCollins, 2002) and will be presented by the author, Dr. Larry Koenig. The program has been featured on PBS, NPR and in Parents Magazine.

Popular speaker Koenig will discuss sure-fire ways to help children stop fighting and bickering along with becoming self-motivated to follow the rules at home and at school.

The presentation also will focus on how parents make sure their children form positive beliefs about themselves.

Smart Discipline has been presented to hundreds of thousands of parents, grandparents and other child caregivers throughout the United States.
