Eyes aren’t deceiving you
In the midst of your holiday shopping, did you notice Jefferson Parish employees along Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie erecting reviewing stands for Mardi Gras?
“The stands started going up on Dec. 6 and they should be finished by the second week of January,” said Rhonda Collins, of the parish’s public information office.
If you think it is too early to start thinking about parades, think again. The Krewe of Little Rascals parades at noon Jan. 20 in Metairie.
The Krewe of Adonis parades at noon Jan. 26 along Terry Parkway. And then the next day, the Krewe of Thor takes to the streets of Metairie at 2 p.m. Jan. 27.
