Jul 11, 2013 06:07 Police seeking Bourbon Street clothing store robber Police seeking Bourbon Street clothing store robber New Orleans bureau July 11, 2013 Comments A man who snatched a cash box from a clothing store cashier on Bourbon Street early Thursday is being sought by New Orleans police for armed robbery. The man, described as a heavy black male, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall with a scruffy beard, walked into Bourbon Clothing Store at 504 Bourbon St., at about 12:35 a.m. and told the cashier he was there to rob the store and that he had a gun, Officer Frank Robertson III said. The robber was fumbling around the register, unable to open it, when he saw the cashier trying to move the cash box from the counter. The robber snatched the box from the worker and dashed out the door with an undisclosed amount of money.
