Letter: Don’t shoot down Mallard Fillmore!

Please save the duck! Gary Thomas, in his recent letter to The Advocate, stated that Mallard Fillmore is negative and not funny. I disagree. I defend Mallard as both current and comical. Also, the strip is appropriately posted immediately to the right of “Doonesbury,” a clever balance of humor by the newspaper.

Aside from the political views, Mallard is not funny or creative. In short, it is a poorly done strip.
