Volunteers will meet at 4035 Washington Ave. to clean up the neutral ground and surrounding streets, plant trees and set up ponds. The plan is for this site to serve as one of Bayou Rebirth’s neighborhood nurseries. The office complex, situated in the center of town, will include a variety of tenants with sustainability and community development in their missions. As part of the project, Green Coast is pursuing funding for Bayou Rebirth through the Super Service Challenge — a Super Bowl initiative funded in part by the Drew Brees Foundation.
