Ard was sworn in as the sheriff in June 2012, replacing longtime Sheriff Willie Graves who retired. District Attorney Scott Perrilloux will join Ard and review the state of crime in the 21st Judicial District, which covers Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa parishes.
