Advocate staff report Aug. 29, 2013 Comments The 2013 Paul Ingraffia Memorial “Bragging Rights” Backyard BBQ Cook-Off for OPTIONS was June 3. Wilbert and Tuffy Campbell hosted the OPTIONS fundraiser at Club C-Nile in Loranger. The third annual event was held in memory of Paul Ingraffia, of Loranger. The winners are best chicken, The Grill Doctors; best ribs, Southern Heat; best brisket, BBQing After Hours; and the people’s choice in chicken, ribs and brisket, The Grill Doctors. Cook-off judges were Jimmy Gregory, owner of the BBQ Station in Independence; Robert Gonzales, head cook at the BBQ station; Dicky Cawvey, cookery judge in Tangipahoa Parish; Doyle Orlando of Jacmel Inn; Judd Short; Kevin Rainey; Darryl Taussin; and John and Kimberly Jones. All proceeds went to help OPTIONS, a nonprofit agency in Hammond that helps people with disabilities live and work in the community.
