Loranger man arrested in wife’s slaying Loranger man arrested in wife’s slaying Richard Lagarrigue Florida Parishes bureau July 31, 2013 Comments Authorities arrested a 27-year-old man Tuesday accused of fatally shooting his wife at their home in Tangipahoa Parish and fleeing to St. Martin Parish. Richard Lagarrigue grabbed a handgun while arguing with his wife, Heather Lagarrigue, 28, around 6:30 p.m. at their Prevost Lane home in Loranger, Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in a news release. Lagarrigue allegedly shot his wife once, killing her, before running away. Henderson Police Department officers caught Lagarrigue around 8:45 p.m. during a traffic stop in St. Martin Parish. Lagarrigue was taken into custody without incident and was later transported to the Tangipahoa Parish Jail and booked on a count of second-degree murder. The shooting remains under investigation, Panepinto said.
