Livingston Parish calendar for July 4, 2013

THURSDAY

  • RED, WHITE & BLUE DAY: 10 a.m., Sidney Hutchinson Park, 13750 Ball Park Road, Walker. The Livingston Parish Veterans Association will hold “Red, White & Blue Day,” which will feature field activities, food, music and a dedication ceremony with Chairman Lynn King and Sammi Rushing. The ceremony will start at 1 p.m. at the pavilion. Music will come from Pro Sounds DJ’s, Gene Williams’ Highway 16 Band and the RV Band. Field activities will include baseball, sack races and tug-of-war. The event will end with fireworks when it gets dark. Participants should bring lawn chairs. http://www.lpvaweb.org.
