The meetings will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, and at 8 p.m. May 23 at the Livingston Parish Council Chambers, 20399 Government Blvd., Livingston. SLU offering online vehicle registration Southeastern Louisiana University students can now register their vehicle information online to purchase parking permits, university officials said. To register online, students should log onto their Leonet account, go to self-serve and select vehicle registration, select the appropriate term from the list, then select the type of vehicle and insert the requested information, officials recommend. The Parking Department will issue permits in the fall semester at the University Center until after the second day classes begin and then move to the Parking Office, located in Pride Hall. During the spring and summer semesters, permits will be issued at the Parking Office only. Summer camp aims at abuse prevention The Denham Springs High School’s Jackets Against Destructive Decisions will host Protecting You/Protecting Me camp June 3 through June 7 for youths in grades first through fifth. The morning session will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Grey’s Creek Elementary, 11400 La. 1033, Denham Springs; and the afternoon session will be from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Lewis Vincent Elementary, 7686 Vincent Road, Denham Springs. Trained high-school students will lead the camp, a science-based, alcohol use prevention summer camp for elementary students, organizers said. The cost is $80.
