Each year, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office participates in the LHSC’s program to combat impaired drivers. The LHSC provides grants that allow for approximately 12 LPSO deputies to participate monthly in ensuring the safety of the public by stopping impaired drivers. Twelve LPSO deputies made 100 DWI arrests during their normal duty hours as well. Locicero was responsible for taking 22 suspected drunken drivers off the streets of Livingston Parish, LHSC officials said.
