Tickfaw brothers found with stolen dirt bikes and gun

Deputies booked two brothers with possession of stolen dirt bikes and a stolen firearm, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

The bikes and gun were stolen from law enforcement agencies in New Orleans and Tangipahoa Parish respectively, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

The men were arrested after they attempted to sell two dirt bikes that had been reported stolen from the New Orleans Police Department, authorities said.

Investigators said they also found a semiautomatic handgun in the vehicle occupied by the men.

Deputies said that the gun had been reported stolen from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they booked Ronald Bickford, 43, of Ponchatoula, with possession of stolen property, parole violation, possession of a stolen firearm and as a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

Wallace Bickford, 49, of Tickfaw, was booked with possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen firearm, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
