Advocate staff report Feb. 27, 2013 Comments The February meeting of the Teen Anime Club at the Main Branch of the Livingston Parish Library featured more than anime. Teens were given the opportunity to create a beeswax candle shaped like a piece of sushi, the first of a series of similar events that will be held for teens and tweens throughout the month. “I wanted to do the sushi-shaped candle during Anime Club because anime is Japanese-based animation and the theme just fit,” Youth Services Librarian Stacie Barron said. Adults also were invited to make candles this month.
