Driver killed in La. 447 collision Wednesday

WALKER — State Police have identified the man killed in a wreck on La. 447 on Wednesday morning as Alan K. Vinet, 52, of Denham Springs.
The wreck occurred after a Ford Explorer driven by Jeff D. Pratt, 44, drifted off the road to the right. Pratt overcorrected and ran head-on into Vinet’s southbound Toyota pickup, according to a State Police news release.
Vinet was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
Troopers said the collision, which occurred shortly after 6 a.m., remains under investigation.
