The 2013 board of directors and officers will officially be sworn in at the meeting. The new board members are Jeff Simon, of Sam’s Club; John Blount, of Blount General Contractors; Johnathan Whitman, of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management; Wayne Dugas, of Lard Oil Company; Adrienne Dunn, of Mary Kay Cosmetics; and Anthony Genovese, of Progressive Waste. Parish President Layton Ricks will address the attendees in a “State of the Parish” address. Supreme Court Elect Judge Jeff Hughes will offer the oaths of office to each officer and director for 2013. Table sponsorships are available. Reimers to host concert on Jan. 12 Reimers Auditorium, at East Charles and North Cherry Streets in Hammond, will host a concert at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12. Guests will include Cheryl Dunn Hayden, Joe Puma, Roy Ryland, Opal Eady, Emilie Lenhart, Gray Tillis, Jake Drude, Terry Bankston, Art Graziano and the “Old Guys.” Admission is free and donations will be accepted. New patient appointments, for children, age 2 and up, to adults, are now being scheduled. Pittman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses and the management of complex health concerns, as well as preventative services. “I am most passionate about making a connection with my patients and having them understand their condition,” Pittman said. “Understanding helps patients play a more active role in their health care decisions.” Pittman earned her medical degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile and completed an internship and residency in family medicine at the University of Tennessee in Jackson. She is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Pittman joins Internal Medicine Physician Felix L. Torres at the North Oaks Primary Care Clinic in Livingston.
