Dec 14, 2012 11:31 Sheriff hosts program to give toys to kids Sheriff hosts program to give toys to kids Advocate staff report Dec. 14, 2012 Comments Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard will host the annual Christmas Crusade to provide toys for needy children. Applications will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. through Thursday and again from Dec. 3-7 at the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Center, 29225 Woodside Drive, Walker. Applicants must show proof of residency, income and one of the following: a birth certificate, school records, WIC vouchers with the child’s date of birth or medical records for the child. Toys will be delivered Dec. 14 beginning at 8 a.m. Applicants must be home, organizers said. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from Dec. 6-8 at Wal-Mart stores in Walker, Denham Springs and Watson along with the Bass Pro Shops and Sam’s Club. Donations can be mailed to Sheriff Jason Ard’s Christmas Crusade, P.O. Box 151, Livingston, LA 70754. Checks can be made payable to Sheriff Jason Ard’s Christmas Crusade.
