Midway Elementary to register new pupils

Midway Elementary School will hold new student registration for pre-kindergarten through second grades from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is for students in the Midway district who did not attend school at Midway last school year (2011-2012), school officials said. Parents should come prepared with the following documentation: original birth certificate, original Social Security card, updated immunization record and proof of address in the form of a utility bill in one or both parents’ names.

Parents of children entering pre-kindergarten also should bring proof of income. Students entering pre-kindergarten are not guaranteed placement, school officials said.

Enrollment packets can be picked up from Midway School.

The packet should be completed before returning it on Tuesday or Wednesday.
