Topics include parenting styles, active communication, courage and self-esteem building, mutual respect, discipline techniques, responsibility teaching and family meetings. Registration is required.

- Sashiko Embroidery Class: 10 a.m., Denham Springs-Walker Library Branch. The Livingston Parish Quilters will present a class on "sashiko," a form of decorative reinforcement stitching or embroidery originally used by Japanese farmers and fishermen. Participants will get kits so they can experiment with the technique after a presentation and demonstration. Registration is required by calling the library.
