Drama camp set for youths ages 9-13

Space is still available for Summer Drama Camp directed by two well-known names in theater, Weston Twardowski and Taylor McLellan.

The camp is for youth ages 9 to 13 of all experience levels, and will teach youth performance/acting training, increased comfort in performing, monologue and scene study, character development, training in theater terminology, comedic/dramatic performance, stage combat training, improvisation, teamwork, organizers said.

The camp ends with a recital performance. The camp will be at the Children’s Discovery Center, 113 N. Cypress, Hammond.

Session III is from July 9-13 and Session IV is from July 30- Aug 3. Both camps are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $175.
