FRIDAY

--LIBRARY GRAND OPENING: 10 a.m., Livingston Library Branch, 20390 Iowa St. The Livingston Parish Library will host a grand opening ceremony for its new main branch, and an open house for the new facility from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. The grand opening ceremony will feature remarks by state, parish and local representatives. The open house will have tours, a puppet show, a family scavenger hunt, a Playstation 3 party for teens, crafts and refreshments. For more information, call (225) 686-2436.

--JUNE FEST SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION: 10 a.m. to noon, Club Outreach, 30277 Sunset St., Walker. The summer camp will be Monday through Friday, June 18-29, and is for ages 5-17. The camp's mission is to assist at risk youth and young adults and embed positive influences in their lives. Registration will be held Friday. The camp is free, but a $25 donation is requested for registration, field trip and T-shirt. In order for campers to get a T-shirt, the fee must be paid by Monday. --VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL FUN DAY: 9 a.m. to noon, Emmanuel Baptist Church, 10453 Arnold Road, Denham Springs. The Fun Day will kick off the annual Vacation Bible School. The school will be at 6 p.m. June 4-8 and is open to children, from 3-year-olds to sixth-graders. The school's theme is "Amazing Wonders Aviation." --SATSUMA BAPTIST LADIES DAY: 9 a.m. to noon, Satsuma Baptist Church, 29880 S. Satsuma Road, Livingston. The theme for Ladies' Day is "Witnessing to the World." Deborah and Natasha Pearson will be the featured guests. All women are invited to the event.

--FUGLER BENEFIT: 11 a.m., Watson Wal-Mart, 34025 La. 16. Capital One employees will hold a Jambalaya benefit for Debbie Fugler. Debbie was critically injured in the same traffic accident that killed her husband, Fire Department District 4 Lt. Jerry Fugler. All proceeds will be donated to Capital One account number 562-73-33-538. Citizens for Highways and Infrastructure of Livingston Parish will hold its monthly meeting with Walker Mayor Bobby Font as guest speaker. Font will talk about the growth of Walker and new road projects. The meeting is open to the public.

--CHILDREN'S DRAWING CAMP: 10 a.m. to noon, Livingston Parish Arts Council, 133 Hummell St. The Livingston Parish Arts Council will offer a children's drawing camp Wednesday through June 8, for students in grades two through five. Participants will draw landscapes, people, animals and still life. Each student will produce at least three drawings in pencil, colored pencil and pastels. Marica Arnold Eisworth will be the instructor. The cost is $60. A $20 non-refundable deposit is needed to register. --NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY TEEN GALA: 6 p.m., Livinston Library Branch. To kick off the Teen Reading Program, the library will hold a gala that will feature teens' night-themed photography they submitted last month. There will be prizes for first place and runner-up. It is open to ages 13-18.

--ADULT WRITERS CIRCLE: 6:30 p.m., Denham Springs-Walker Library Branch.
