Black history month film: 6 p.m., Albany-Springfield Library Branch. The film is “King: Go Beyond the Dream and Discover the Man,” a film from the History Channel about the life of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
Jewelry making & beading: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Arts Council of Livingston Parish, 133 N. Hummell St., Denham Springs. The jewelry and beading class is for ages 18 and older. St. Jude Krewe of Diversion Mardi Gras Boat Parade: Noon, starting at Diversion Canal under La. 22 and ending at Manny’s. An auction will follow the parade at Manny’s. Boats and costumes will be judged for first, second and third place. Pre-registration is required by 6:30 p.m. Friday at Manny’s. This cost is $35 per boat.
