School bus hotline to aid parents in EBR

The East Baton Rouge Parish school system’s Transportation Department activated a field bank Wednesday for phone calls, as it has in years past, to answer parents’ questions about school bus routes for the 2012-2013 school year.
The hotline, which will continue through Aug. 17, will be working from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on week days, a news release says. Operators will answer questions about issues such as times of pickups and drop-offs, and school bus assignments. The number is (225) 226-3660.
In addition, postcards with bus route information were mailed this week to students’ homes.
