Housing Corp. board Advocate staff report July 19, 2014 Comments Hammond Mayor Mayson Foster was elected chairman of the Louisiana Housing Corp. board of directors for 2014-2015 at the organization’s meeting Wednesday. Foster has served on the LHC board since he was appointed by Gov. Bobby Jindal in 2011. The LHC oversees the state’s housing programs for the poor and those with moderate incomes. Foster previously served as vice chairman of the board. He replaces Michael Airhart, the executive director of the East Baton Rouge Mortgage Finance Authority. Larry Ferdinand of Shreveport was elected vice chairman.
