Central shopping center sold for $2.47 million Central shopping center sold for $2.47 million BY TIMOTHY BOONE| email@example.com July 19, 2014 Comments City Market, a shopping center at the intersection of Magnolia Bridge and Greenwell Springs roads in Central, has been sold for $2.47 million to a Gulfport, Mississippi, investor. 2003 Realty Co. LLC bought the center from Bellingrath Lakes LLC in a deal that was filed Wednesday with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s Office. 2003 Realty has the same Gulfport address as RPM Pizza, which has more than 130 Domino’s Pizza franchise locations in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Drew Pearson, an agent with Waters & Pettit Commercial Real Estate, who represented the buyers, said there are no plans to put a Domino’s in City Market. “It’s a separate arm of their business,” Pearson said. City Market is just under 19,000 square feet and has tenants that include Chris’ Specialty Meats and Paradise Smoothie. There are three open spots, with 3,600 vacant square feet, Pearson said. The new owners will handle finding tenants for the empty space. “They feel strongly about the Baton Rouge market and the growth in Central,” Pearson said. Justin Langlois of Mike Falgoust & Associates Commercial Real Estate represented the sellers.
