Former Sears distribution center sold Former Sears distribution center sold BY TIMOTHY BOONE| email@example.com June 06, 2014 Comments A former Sears distribution center in north Baton Rouge has been sold for $485,000 to a group of investors who plan to renovate and market it for lease. The joint venture between Aquila Ventures LLC of Baton Rouge and Adestra Properties LLC of Gonzales bought the 4.5-acre site at 6620 Greenwell Springs Road, said Mark Hebert, of Kurz & Hebert Commercial Real Estate. Hebert represented the buyers and the seller, Sears Holding Corp. The site includes a 73,000-square-foot warehouse, with 10 dock doors and rail access. Donato Mucciacciaro of Kurz & Hebert said the highest and the best use for the property would be as a distribution center, but the owners are open to other uses.
