Hardee’s franchisee buys three Back Yard Burger locations Hardee’s franchisee buys three Back Yard Burger locations Advocate story March 09, 2014 Comments Paradigm Investment Group, the second-largest franchisee of Hardee’s fast-food restaurants, has bought three local Back Yard Burger locations and plans to rebrand them over the summer. Paradigm purchased the Back Yard Burger restaurants at 2327 O’Neal Lane in Baton Rouge, 102 Bass Pro Blvd. in Denham Springs and 2250 Florida St. in Mandeville. The plan is to have the Hardee’s locations open by June. San Diego-based Paradigm has about 100 Hardee’s locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. The company entered the Louisiana market in 2013 and has locations in Port Allen, Marrero, Chalmette and Thibodaux. Hardee’s is known for its made-from-scratch biscuits, charbroiled ThickBurgers and guy friendly commercials that feature scantily clad models chowing down on sandwiches. Back Yard Burger filed for bankruptcy in 2012. The chain still has a location on North Mall Drive in Baton Rouge.
