AARP offers tax help

AARP Tax-Aide, a free, volunteer-run tax counseling and preparation service, is available to low- and middle-income taxpayers, with a special focus on those ages 60 and older.

Locations and dates for the service are:

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH MAIN LIBRARY: 7711 Goodwood Blvd.; E-filing 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mondays, Feb. 3 to April 7; Tuesdays, Feb. 4 to April 8; Wednesdays, Feb. 5 to April 9; and Thursdays, Feb. 6 to April 10.

The library is closed on East Baton Rouge Parish holidays and will be temporarily inaccessible to the handicap because of its relocation. Parking and entrance information are available at the Main Library web page.

BLUEBONNET BRANCH LIBRARY: 9200 Bluebonnet Blvd.; E-filing 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays, Feb. 10 to April 7; Wednesdays, Feb. 5 to April 9.
