Halliburton opens Acadiana Blend Plant Halliburton opens Acadiana Blend Plant Advocate business staff report Sept. 14, 2013 Comments MAURICE — Halliburton said Thursday it has opened a Multi-Chem Acadiana Blend Plant in Maurice. The new facility is on 64 acres, about half of which is green space, and includes offices, a blend plant and a laboratory. The facility employs about 65 people. Multi-Chem provides specialty chemicals and services that help oil and gas companies develop their resources. The new facility will help Halliburton meet growing business demands in the Gulf of Mexico market, said James Archer, vice president of Halliburton’s Multi-Chem business line. Halliburton has 47 facilities in the state, including locations and employees in Berwick, Broussard, Cameron, Dulac, Fourchon, Houma, Intracoastal City, Lafayette, Larose, Maurice, Morgan City, New Iberia, New Orleans, Venice and Westlake. The company employs about 3,500 people in Louisiana.
