Deal for ENGlobal’s BR, four other offices completed Deal for ENGlobal’s BR, four other offices completed Advocate staff report Sept. 09, 2013 Comments Furmanite Corp., of Houston, has completed its nearly $20 million acquisition of five of ENGlobal Corp.’s offices, including one on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard in Baton Rouge. The deal, which was completed Friday, included an ENGlobal office in Lake Charles, as well as the engineering firm’s related in-plant operations throughout the Gulf Coast. ENGlobal, also with headquarters in Houston, has 900 employees in the five offices and plant operations. The other offices are in Beaumont, Deer Park and Freeport, Texas. ENGlobal provides project planning, engineering, testing and inspection, construction management and field support services to the petrochemical and oil and gas industries. The company will retain its engineering operations and automation operations and will concentrate on those segments. ENGlobal will use the proceeds from the sale of its offices to repay outstanding debt and for working capital purposes. Furmanite is a global company that serves industries ranging from refining and offshore to steel makers and water utilities.
