Brian Buckel has been named senior vice president of the construction division at GEC Inc. Buckel was a vice president.

Matthew W. Bailey, managing partner of the law firm of Walsh & Bailey LLC in Baton Rouge, has been elected vice president of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, which has members throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

IberiaBank, a subsidiary of Lafayette-based IberiaBank Corp., has named to its Baton Rouge advisory board Teri G. Fontenot, president and CEO of Woman’s Hospital, and Shawn Usher, majority owner of information technology service Sparkhound.

Jordan P. Hultberg Jr. has been named a vice president, commercial lender at Red River Bank in Baton Rouge. Hultberg was middle market commercial relationship manager at Whitney Bank in Baton Rouge.


Flor Guandique has been named manager of financial reporting at Peoples Health in Metairie. Guandique was senior accountant.

Metairie Bank and Trust has named Louis Lusignan as assistant vice president, branch manager at its 701 Metairie Road location and James Gilchrist as banking officer, assistant branch manager.

Lusignan was vice president/manager 3 at Capital One; Gilchrist was banking officer, assistant manager at Metairie Bank and Trust.

Derrick Martin has been named executive director of the Algiers Economic Development Foundation. Yvonne Mitchell-Grubb, who has served as interim executive director of AEDF since April 1, returns to her position as a member of the AEDF board of directors.

Martin was director of business retention and expansion for the New Orleans Business Alliance.


John Trahan has been named director of quality and supply chain at HB Rentals in Broussard, a Superior Energy Services company.

Trahan’s most recent employers include Pantech Wireless, Nokia Mobile Phones and Texas Instruments.


Jake Delhomme, a retired National Football League quarterback, has been elected president of the Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association board of directors.

Other officers are Keith Myers, who is CEO of LHC Group and owns Coteau Grove Farms in Sunset with his wife, first vice president, and Brett Brinkman, owner of Le Mesa Stallions in Carencro, second vice president.

Also serving on the board are Jay Adcock, Charlotte Stemmans Clavier, Jeff Delhomme, Tom Early, Dexter Gary, Nathan Granger, Michelle LaVoice, Neal McFadden, Val Murrell and Lora Pitre Michele Rodriguez.

Danos in Larose has named Mark Danos as division manager of construction and fabrication; John Bigler is now serving in a dual role of account executive for large construction projects and bidding and estimating manager; and James Callahan as director of finance and administration.

Danos was a project coordinator. Bigler has been in sales and operational management. Callahan has been chief executive officer at Superior Shipyard & Fabrication and chief operating officer for S.J.I. Inc.
