Group hosting tours of developments in N.O., BR

The Urban Land Institute Louisiana will host hard hat tours of a New Orleans apartment development and a Baton Rouge mixed-use development.

The tour of the 36-unit Josephine Loft Apartments at Jackson and Tchoupitoulas in New Orleans will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Developer Edward Taylor will discuss how he converted the 105-year-old American Paint Works building into luxury apartments, with amenities such as wood floors and patios in some units.

The tour of The High Grove, east of the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 5.

Developer Richard Carmouche will discuss the $28 million residential and retail project, which will consist of 192 residential units set above 25,000 square feet of retail space.

The cost for the Josephine Lofts tour ranges between $15 to $25 and the High Grove tour ranges in cost from $15 to $45. For more information or to register, go to http://louisiana.uli.org/.
