Baton Rouge-based Investar Bank has entered the Lafayette area with the opening of a temporary office at 4023 Ambassador Caffery Parkway.
The branch will offer private, small-business, consumer and commercial banking.
The bank’s permanent branch and regional headquarters, which is under construction at 4004 Ambassador Caffery Parkway across the street from the temporary location, is expected to open in the fall.
Additional services will include mortgage lending and treasury management.
“Investar is serious about serving Acadiana,” said Keith Short, the bank’s Lafayette regional president.
The first-floor branch in the two-story, 6,570-square-foot permanent building will serve customers with five teller windows; three drive-up lanes; a drive-up ATM; and safe deposit boxes. Offices for Investar’s Lafayette-area management team will be on the building’s second floor. About 20 Investar employees will work from the regional headquarters, including the branch.
The Lafayette-area location gives Investar 10 branches serving four markets in southeast Louisiana.
