Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has named Kathy Dufour vice president of information technology application services and Dr. William Freeman as medical director.

Dufour was vice president and director of business systems delivery at Science Applications International Corp. in New Orleans. Freeman was the associate program director for the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at LSU’s Earl K. Long Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

Marion Fox, of the Jefferson Davis Parish Tourist Commission, has been elected chairman of the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association.

Other officers are Renee Areng, of Visit Baton Rouge, vice chairman; Linda Curtis-Sparks, of the Sabine Parish Tourist Commission, secretary; Phil Frost, of the Baton Rouge Zoo, treasurer; and Fran Thibodeaux, of the Iberia Parish Convention and Visitors Bureau, past chairman.

New members on the board of directors from the local area are Sandra Davis, with Konriko/Conrad Rice Mill; Mark Romig, of the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corp.; and Denise Thevenot, of Louisiana Tax Free Shopping.

Megan Gouzy has been named corporate sales manager of the Maison Dupuy Hotel in New Orleans.

She was a sales system administrator with the Loews Hotel.
