BRAC trying to connect businesses with IBM BRAC trying to connect businesses with IBM Advocate staff report June 03, 2013 Comments The Baton Rouge Area Chamber has a new form on its website for local companies who are interested in doing business with IBM’s software development center. BRAC said it is collecting a list of businesses that want to work with the downtown center. That list will be presented to IBM officials in the hopes of creating new business opportunities. Companies will be able to enter their contact information, describe the services they offer and upload promotional materials. The Web page is available at http://www.brac.org/ibm. IBM is set to open a software development center downtown by spring 2015 and projects it will have 800 employees by 2016. A temporary office building is set to open this spring in the Essen Centre office building.
