BTR, Clear Channel reach ad agreement

Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport and Clear Channel have reached an agreement to overhaul advertising at the airport.

The 10-year agreement, which starts July 1, will result in new large format fabric displays, LCD and digital touch screens at the airport, the airport said. The new advertising displays will use less power than traditional signs and create less waste.

Anthony Marino, director of aviation, said in a news release the agreement will give those interested in advertising at BTR new options.

“We think this partnership will achieve the best results for our advertisers, and it will give BTR more opportunities to be included in national advertising buys,” he said in a press release.

Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Officials said more than 825,000 passengers departed or arrived at BTR during 2012.
