D.R. Horton buys 65 Long Farm lots

Long Farm developer Russell Mosely’s deal to sell 65 lots to national homebuilder D.R. Horton closed for $4.7 million, according to documents filed with the city-parish.

Long Farm, which is under way on 237 acres of farmland bounded by Barringer Foreman Road, Jefferson Highway and Airline Highway, will ultimately have 425 single-family homes and 40 townhomes on 120 acres.

Mosely has a purchase agreement with Rouses Market to anchor the 35-acre retail portion of the development, which will have about 600,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and office space.

The first residents of Long Farm are expected to move in late this summer.

How does this affect the agreement as follows: "COOPERATIVE ENDEAVOR AGREEMENT RELATIVE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS AND IMPACT FEE CREDITS This is a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between: Long Farm Development I, L.L.C., a Louisiana limited liability company, represented herein by its Manager, duly authorized, (“Long Farm”); and The City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge, a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana, and the East Baton Rouge Sewerage Commission ("EBROSCO"), appearing herein through the Mayor-President, pursuant to the authority granted in City Parish Resolution No. _________ (copy attached) (“City/Parish”)." Any reporters out there want to tackle this issue?
