The task force is focused on providing support and guidance to tax professionals as it relates to health care reform legislation. Mehaffey will assist in the development of tools and aids for AICPA member use and content for health care reform-related presentations and webinars. James J. Gray II, of Baton Rouge, has been elected chairman of Council of the Louisiana State Law Institute. LAFAYETTE Greene’s Energy Group, a provider of integrated testing, rentals and specialty services, has named Gene Garber as chief integration officer. Garber, who maintains his position as senior vice president, will also be responsible for the development and integration of operational programs, strategies and associated projects. Lorraine Miller, MidSouth Bancorp Inc.’s director of mergers and acquisitions, has assumed additional responsibilities as treasurer.
