Malcolm A. Meyer, a partner with the Adams and Reese law firm in New Orleans, received the 2012 Louisiana Land Title Association’s Title Person of the Year award, which recognizes outstanding dedication and service to the organization and the Louisiana real
estate industry. Meyer has practiced law for more
than 30 years in real estate transactions, title insurance work, banking and finance, corporate law and business counseling.
Paul Fontana, of Lafayette, president and owner of The Center for Work Rehabilitation
Inc., was presented the American Occupational Therapy
Association’s Lindy Boggs Award, which honors a
member who promotes occupational therapy in the political arena.
The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana received accreditation from the American College of Radiology in nuclear medicine. Accreditation is based on a review process.
Don Groth, LSU AgCenter plant pathologist, received the Rice Industry Award, and Ernest Girouard, coordinator of the Louisiana Master Farmer Program, received the Distinguished Conservation Achievement Award at the annual USA Rice Outlook Conference. The awards are sponsored by Rice Farming magazine, Horizon Ag and the USA Rice Federation.
