LDG Development of Louisville, Ky., has opened Mallard Crossing, a 192-unit, affordable apartment community on Greenwell Springs Road.
The $24 million development is split between two- and three-bedroom units, which range in size from 909 square feet to 1,106 square feet. All units are furnished with a washer and dryer, dishwasher and microwave.
The development is located next to the Greenwell Springs library.
Chris Dischinger, development principal with LDG, which has developments in 12 states, said the goal is to serve families who need support to maintain housing. “Over the years our team has seen how a quality home instills pride in our residents and leads to a lifelong, successful tenant,” he said in a news release.
Funding for Mallard Crossing was made possible through several sources including the Bank of America, the state Office of Community Development, the city-parish’s Office of Community Development, Louisiana Housing Corporation, Freddie Mac and CW Capital/Walker Dunlop.
Mallard Crossing was designed by The Weber Group, Inc and is managed by Latter & Blum Property Management.
