Robelynn H. Abadie, chief executive officer, of Abadie Financial Services LLC has been elected to the board of trustees of the National Association of Health Underwriters Education Foundation in Washington, DC.

Margaret Maggio-Chappuis has been named director of sales and marketing at the Hotel Indigo. She was corporate director of sales at Avalon Hotel Group in Gonzales.

Aimee Kilpatrick has been named senior vice president and director of business operations for BancorpSouth Insurance Services Inc. Kilpatrick was senior vice president for the Louisiana region.

Patrick Moore was named vice president and marketing director for BancorpSouth Insurance Services/Wright & Percy’s Louisiana region. Moore was account manager with Liberty Mutual’s national accounts division

Hannah Breaux has been named communications specialist for the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, overseeing national communications, outreach and public relations. Breaux was a communications associate at the American Federation for Children.

Wendy Bateman has been named vice president, consumer marketing, for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. Bateman was director of integrated marketing at Pepperidge Farm Inc. in Norwalk, Conn.

Leigh Harris, executive director of Keep Louisiana Beautiful Inc., has been elected vice president of the state leaders council of Keep America Beautiful.

The council is made up of executives of state affiliates, who represent their state with the national organization.

Maggie Bowles has been named projects and design specialist with Visit Baton Rouge, the city’s convention and visitors bureau. Bowles was a contract photographer and editor for Sports Illustrated Magazine and Time Inc.

Phil Rainier has been named director of marketing and communications for Central Physical Therapy. Rainier has been WAFB-TV’s medical correspondent.

David Frey has been named executive director of Louisiana One Call. He was damage prevention manager of the nonprofit association, which is made up of operators of underground facilities and notifies members before digging operations occur.

Florence “Jeannie” Kilgore has been named director of operations at the Baton Rouge Animal Shelter. Kilgore was director of animal control in Natchitoches.

LAFAYETTE / OPELOUSAS

Knight Oil Tools International in Lafayette has named Jens Fredrichsen as regional manager for the Middle East and North Africa, and William “Tuffy” Hogue as regional manager for Southeast Asia.

Fredrichsen was regional product line manager for Weatherford Oil Tools Middle East Ltd. He is headquartered in Dubai.

Hogue was region manager for Latin America Fishing and Remedial for Smith Services. He is based in Perth, W. Australia.

Lisa K. Bowles has been named marketing director for the St. Landry Parish Tourist Commission in Opelousas. She previously has worked with the Austin Convention Center, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. and Destination DC.

Brent D. Weinstein, of Metairie, has been named director of business development for the southern region for Birmingham, Ala.-based Security Engineers Inc. Weinstein was business development manager for NOPP.

Gov. Bobby Jindal has made appointments and reappointments from the local area to various boards and commissions.

  • Louisiana Naval War Memorial Commission: Kyle Kennedy, of Baton Rouge, a self-employed dentist; and Sherry Gomez, of Greenwell Springs, self-employed in hospitality sales consulting and association management.
  • College and Career Readiness Commission: David Bondy, of Baton Rouge, founder and chief executive officer of LUBA Casualty Insurance Co.
  • Respiratory Care Advisory Committee: Sue Davis, of Denham Springs, a respiratory therapist at LSUHSC/OLOL College; Michael Nolan, of Baton Rouge, chief operating officer for Promise Hospitals; Adam North, of Baton Rouge, manager for respiratory care at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center; and Raymond Pisani, of Berwick, director of the cardiopulmonary services and sleep disorders center at Teche Regional Medical Center.
