Technology Park to get three new companies

The Louisiana Technology Park’s admission committee Tuesday approved three new tenants for the business incubator.

Overtime Software, Interior Web Design and Teknarus all were approved for spots in the Tech Park in the Bon Carré Business Center on Florida Boulevard.

Teknarus, a 12-year-old firm that provides full-service technology solutions, was admitted as an anchor tenant and will serve as a mentor to the younger firms in the incubator.

Devin Zito, president of Teknarus, said the company provides hardware and software support, along with managing websites and apps. Teknarus is based in Denham Springs and has 10 full-time employees.

Overtime Software, or OT, already has contracts with some of college football’s top programs, including LSU, Oregon, Auburn and Georgia.

The company produces customized software that allows coaches to easily update evaluations of the hundreds of high school football players who are being considered for athletic scholarships.

OT also has done customized websites promoting colleges to potential recruits. While the 2-year-old company has concentrated its efforts on college football’s elite, President Mike Thrower said the plan is to eventually reach out to all colleges and universities that have scholarship sports.

Interior Web Design, which was launched in 2009, is an e-commerce business that is integrated into Magento, a platform used by more than 100,000 online retailers.

Joe McFerrin, who founded Interior Web Design, said he was ready to move out of his offices on Third Street and into a facility where he could be close to other technology-based companies.
