Chamber recommends business resources
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber is encouraging businesses to register with the Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center as the state assesses damage following Hurricane Isaac.
The center is a partnership of the Louisiana economic development department, the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, the National Incident Management Systems and Advanced Technologies Institute at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Stephenson Disaster Management Institute at LSU.
The center helps coordinate the activities and resources of businesses and volunteer organizations in Louisiana with the state’s Emergency Operations Center. By registering and completing a company profile, businesses can describe their products and services that can assist the state during a disaster.
