Business Honors for July 1, 2012

Jason Boudreaux and Jennifer Fowler recently completed the technology coaching certification course by Wendy Kennedy at Purdue University. Boudreaux and Fowler, who serve as business consultants at the LSU Louisiana Business & Technology Center, now are able to deliver the Inventor’s Commercialization Toolkit for scientists, researchers, engineers and technology entrepreneurs.

The center will conduct six- to nine-week training programs for technology entrepreneurs to assist them in discovering the business value of science and technology innovations.

The duo will work with engineers, scientists and researchers from LSU, Southern University, Pennington, LSU Veterinary Medicine and LSU Emerging Technology Center, as well as local engineers, industry researchers and other technology entrepreneurs. The program will cover developing the “idea” and taking it to the marketplace in the most cost effective and efficient manner.

Postlethwaite & Netterville has been selected for a Marketing Achievement Award from the Association for Accounting Marketing. The accounting firm was recognized for its distinction in the “events” category at AAM’s Annual Summit earlier this month in Las Vegas.

Women’s & Children’s Hospital’s Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre recently received national certification for quality patient outcomes.

The National Quality Measures for Breast Centers program, a quality initiative of the National Consortium of Breast Centers Inc., awarded national certification to the Women’s Imaging Centre for its commitment to providing quality breast health care to patients in the Acadiana communities it serves.

Jude D. Bourque, an attorney in the office of the Louisiana Attorney General, and Tara M. Madison, an attorney with Kean Miller, have been named Fellows of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. The foundation supports programs providing free legal services for the poor and works for equal justice under the law.
